Staffordshire is one of 42 Probation Areas which together form the National Probation Service. The National Probation Service for England and Wales is a law enforcment agency which supervises offenders in the community.
SPANews - Issue 1 The first edition of Staffordshire Probation Area News is lauched this month (June 2008). The publication, to be issued twice yearly, arises as an outcome of the staff consulation events in 2007 and is intended for staff, stakeholders and those with an interest in who we are and what we do. Highlights in this edition include a spotlight on the Business Development Unit and the results and outcomes from the staff 'Meeting the Challenge Ahead' consultation event itself.
