Staffordshire Probation Area covers the whole of Staffordshire. We work in partnership with police, prisons, the Crown Prosecution Service, courts, local authorities, health and voluntary sector partners.

During 2006/07, Staffordshire Probation Area supervised around 3500 offenders on community orders and around a further 650 on release from custody.

We aim to make a major contribution to the quality of life of those who visit, live and work in Staffordshire. Our aims are to protect the public, reduce re-offending, ensure proper punishment of offenders in the community, ensure that offenders are aware of the effects of crime on the victims and the public, rehabilitate offenders.
