Staffordshire Probation Area achieves Investors in People Award

STAFFORDSHIRE PROBATION AREA ACHIEVES THE INVESTORS IN PEOPLE AWARD

For the third time, Staffordshire Probation Area has achieved the Investors in People Award.

Over 30,000 UK organisations are recognised as Investors in People, covering a wide spectrum of UK industries.  The standard helps organisations to improve performance and realise objectives through the management and development of their staff.  Since it was developed, the standard has been reviewed every three years to ensure that it remains relevant, accessible and attractive to all.

Staffordshire Probation Area's award particularly mentions strengths in leadership, good practice in supporting staff and efficiency improvements.

Rob Mandley, Chief Officer of Staffordshire Probation Area said, "I am very pleased that we have achieved this award again.  A highly skilled and motivated workforce is essential for us to maintain our high standard of work with offenders, victims and the local community.  Our vision is to be recognised locally and nationally as a leading probation area for both quality and performance.  This award recognises the excellence that staff have worked hard to achieve."
